1. Describe your band in 13 words or less.
Tom B - Metal born from a love of industrial noise,
extreme music and coffee
T.K - Caffeine fuelled metal
2. What are your main influences, both musically
and otherwise?
Tom B - Personally musically, it's Fear Factory, Killing
Joke, Type O, Killswitch Engage, Slayer & Nine Inch
Nails. Otherwise, I'm inspired by artists of all natures.
Be it photographers, models, painters; doesn't matter
as you can find something beautiful and powerful in
all art.
T.K - Musically it ranges from Tech-Death to Shred to
Classical to Djent etc. Other influences on me personally,
besides musical ones, are a few select artists and tattoo
artists and video games.
3. Tell us about the last record you released?
Tom B - This is actually our first. The single is up
for free on April 4th and the album is out September
5th.
T.K - Been mastered Tim Turan who did an awesome job
and it's free so go download it!
4.
When are you next out on tour?
Tom B - Yet to be decided.
5.
Your home town aside, which is your favourite city to
play?
Tom B - From past experience, London is a lot of fun
and Manchester is a scream.
T.K - London's always fun and a few places in Germany.
6.
If you could go out on tour with any two other bands,
who would you pick?
Tom B - My choices are a bit odd, but I'd love to tour
with Killing Joke or Gallows. I doubt either would happen
as our styles are pretty different to both. Killing
Joke are amazing musically and I find Jaz Coleman fascinating
as a singer and as a person. As for Gallows, they were
one of the most intense live bands I've ever seen and
I imagine playing with them would be fun.
T.K - Am really into a band called Animals as Leaders
at the minute so would love to get the chance to do
a tour with them and other one would probably have to
be the band Mnemic.
7.
What has been the funniest / most horrific thing thats
ever happened to you whilst on stage / tour?
Tom B - I accidentally doused the entire stage in water.
This wouldn't have been so bad normally, but the stage
had suffered an electrical fire the night before and
I was standing on and covered a multi-plug adaptor that
was switched on!
T.K - Played a show in Derby a few years ago with an
old band and for some reason I decided that I really
wanted to duck-walk like Angus Young from AC/DC during
a solo.....
8.
Whats the best thing about being in a band?
Tom B - It's going to sound contrived, but just having
a cathartic creative outlet. It's fantastic.
T.K - Playing loud!
9.
What was the first record you ever bought?
Tom B - Cannot remember. It was fucking ages ago.
T.K - That question makes me feel old. *laughs*
10.
Whats the most embarrassing CD in your collection?
Tom B - Babylon Zoo, the album with Spaceman on it.
T.K - I think that would probably have to be 'Chocolate
Starfish....' by Limp Bizkit.
11.
If you had to give up music and do a different job,
what would your ideal job be?
Tom B - Probably screen writer, anything to do with
writing.
T.K - Probably a historian: particularly anything dealing
with ancient history.
12.
Tell us something youve never told anyone else
in an interview.
Tom B - In my last band I nearly got electrocuted while
playing a gig in Prague. The venue was underground and
the stage got flooded by a broken main. Instead of fixing
the problem, the sound guy stopped the show before the
last band could play because he and I quote "Ran
out of cocaine". We ended up stranded in Praha
5. Thirty guys and about £30,000 worth of musical
gear, no idea of our surroundings and no ride home;
was quite scary.
T.K - I hate mullets and comb over's.
13. Famous last words?
Tom B - Never trust a coked up sound guy to save you
from drowning or electrocution, or for a ride home for
that matter.
T.K - 'If the shit fits, wear it', good quote from the
Blues Brothers. *laughs*
