1. Can you give us a brief intro to the band?
Dawned in 2005 via the 'Proselytiser' demo by S.
Berserker. AC joins on the skins and together a 2nd
demo entitled 'Omnipotent' is spread and sprawled in
2006. 2008 brought the 'Subservience' 7" via Germany's
Iron Bonehead, then followed up that same year by the
debut album 'Salvation Like Destruction' c/- Pulverised
Records and High Roller/Iron Bonehead. Though rough
around the edges, it was an indication of what Assaulter
was about - A dirty Metal Hybrid. Step in one T. Hellfinder
to tear shreds of the lead guitar and we record 'Beware
the Wounded Beast' for a split 7" with fellow countrymen
Trench Hell. Many a painful, cunting line-up change
later P. Hunt (ex Razor of Occam) replaces AC on the
skins and the follow full length 'Boundless!' is recorded.

Musically, what would you say your main influences are?
The attacking styled riffs of Metallica, the melody
of Mercyful Fate and the primitive darkness of Sodom.
Maybe you hear it, maybe you don't. Needless to say
we're talking of the better eras of said bands.

Tell us about your upcoming/present album/demo releases?
Our second full length LP 'Boundless!', and finally
a delivery and attack that represents the essence of
Metal according to Assaulter. Metal Blade/Poison Tongue
will be releasing the CD, and High Roller Records will
be releasing the vinyl. There must always be vinyl.

What are your upcoming tour plans?
Evil Invaders III Festival in Sydney in June. Killer
line-up, it promises to be one hell of an underground
festival. Beyond that - European shores 2012!
5.
Where is your favourite city to gig, both in terms of
playing and visiting?
Give us a couple of years and we could give you a solid
answer......... thus far, Brisbane.
6.
If you could go out on tour with any band, who would
it be?
Nifelheim AND Destroyer 666.
7.
Have you ever suffered an onstage/tour related injury?
Again, we'd have to get back to you in a couple of years!
8.
What's the funniest thing that's ever happened to you
on tour?
When I was playing with Destroyer 666, we were at a
festival in Sweden, I was theoretically skimmed by a
car whilst passed out in a field. Days of concussion,
skin off the face, concerned, panicking Swedes yelling
at me to wake up........ It's only a theory, but considering
there were drunkards driving over tents in the camp
site, no other explanation fits the bill.

What are the best / worst things about being in a band?
Best - Finally laying down a song/album that you're
happy with. Worst - Shit, where to start.....
10.
What's your personal poison of choice?
German Heffeweissen, followed by Scotch and Coke, watching
a killer band.
11.
Which band / album do you love but know you shouldn't?
None. If I like it, I like it.
12.
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a wood chuck
could chuck wood?
Red leather, yellow leather. Repeat fast.
