Album Review: Accessory - Underbeat
By Rob Kendrick

Another Electro-Industrial band to rise from Germany, this is the seventh album released by the rhythmically sound Accessory. From the very start this album produces a solid structure of beat and synth in that same dark, German way we've heard many times before. With only two stage members, according to this latest album Accessory has all the ingredients to become an international hit. The eerie chorus behind 'Keen girl' will not only get you toe-tapping but also swaying along to the melody.
Followed shortly by 'Shout it out', the album changes from subtle and melodic to something more stern and sharp. 'Shout it out' is a dance track, belonging under high impact strobes and from even harder hitting amplifiers. The album carries on its dark and edgy feel throughout with hints of dance, infusing synth with vocals, certainly not afraid of repetitions but with chorus' as hard hitting and catchy as these I certainly cannot get enough.
The mix of clean vocals from man and woman (Eveliene Klink) sometimes mixing with a synthesizer makes for a superior effect especially during the brilliance of 'She says it Feels Good'. The mix of German and English language work together here with the ground breaking beats to give a truly genius song structure, especially during 'Sunrise'.
The entire album Underbeat manages to deliver some awesome dance beats with a taste of aggression, to tick all the boxes of any Industrial fan.

Album rating: 9/10
