Album Review: Nothing Left For Tomorrow - Nightbreed
by Richard Adams

This album is certainly something different. Nothing Left For Tomorrow meld traditional Death Metal with elements of Thrash, vocalist Yasmina's dual vocal abilities are definitely something that can set this band apart. With heavy riffs, chugging bass lines and excellent drumming, Nothing Left For Tomorrow have a great recipe here to go a long way. Along with songs such as "Broken", where Yasmina really shows off her range of vocal abilities, there is clearly a lot more to come from this band, and they have all the potential to unleash it.

One issue I do have with N.L.F.T is that whilst what they do, they do very well; a lot of it has been done before. With plenty of hooks, riffs, cuts and mosh-pit fillers, N.L.F.T make the most of their Thrash roots which, given the resurgence in Thrash Metal's popularity over the last few years, could see them do very well.

'Nightbreed' is a well-recorded, heavy album that provides a good listen, but runs the risk, at times, of the tracks blending in to each others. A solid debut from Canadian Death/Thrash Metallers that shows a promising future, definitely one to watch for in the coming year.
